Work Party Scheduled: We have scheduled a work party for Saturday, February 4th to make preliminary fixes to the flying field. Due to the wind damage that we had at the field, we will need to secure the fabric in the pit area and taxiways to avoid further damage. We will also make some preliminary fixes to the tables and run-up stands (as necessary) and secure the damaged fence post that holds up the main gate.
We will meet at 10:00 AM. If you can make it, please join us and bring a few tools such as a hammer, shovel, broom, etc. We will also assess any remaining repairs that are needed to permanently fix all damages. We will schedule a follow-up work party for those repairs (if necessary).

New Website Launched: We are excited to finally go live with our revamped and updated website. The most visible change is obviously the new design. However, we have also taken the time to restructure existing content and add new content. Our goal was to simplify the navigation and make it easier for visitors to quickly find information about our club, key contacts, and how to get started in R/C flying. We will continue to add new sections and more comprehensive content over the next few months and hope that you will enjoy our new website and find the presented content informative.

2012 Event Calendar Available: The club officers met last December and discussed our 2012 events and club meeting schedule. Please refer to the event calendar for more details. Also, please note that while it is always our objective to present finalized event dates, some dates could change on short notice due to weather and other unforeseen reasons. We will make sure to update the event calendar and communicate updates as soon as such changes occur.

District XI Update: Chris Rankin has become (as of January 1st, 2012) one of the Associate Vice Presidents for our district (District XI) to better represent Central Oregon within our district, but also to help our district to become more visible to other clubs belonging to this district. Please congratulate Chris on his new role and the opportunities it will provide to BAM and other Central Oregon clubs to better interact and collaborate with our district representatives.

Membership Renewals: It's that time of the year again to renew your membership. Please take the next opportunity to renew to avoid an interruption of your membership. You can either attend a club meeting and pay your dues then or mail your dues to Tom Schramm, our Treasurer. Also, please note that you must have a current (active) AMA membership to remain a member of BAM. If you haven't had a chance yet to renew your AMA membership, please do so prior to renewing your BAM membership so we can verify your AMA status. For the correct BAM dues, please refer to the information provided under Join/Renew.
